I went to live in America for six months on an work exchange programme. Other than the tons of clothes I brought home, I also brought home 10kgs of additional weight. I did what no one should never do, I lived on takeaways (I was too busy to cook) and did not exercise (there was no time to exercise, only time to shop). In May 2012, I was given the opportunity by Bobbi Brown South Africa to host a makeup workshop with a few of my friends at their V&A Waterfront store. I am pretty simplistic with my makeup and I love anything luxurious, so it was not hard to fall in love with Bobbi Brown make up range. I love Bobbi Brown philosophy on makeup which is about the natural revolution and celebrating your beauty .
She believes with the right makeup techniques, you can use your makeup to look pretty powerful. I was MAC girl until I was introduced to Bobbi Brown. I felt I was cheating on my MAC until I found out that both companies are part of the Estee Lauder Group of Companies. So my MAC and Bobbi Brown co-exist happily in my makeup bag.
These are my favourite Bobbi Brown and Mac Products:
1. MAC Fix Spay – This spray makes my makeup look flawless the whole day. I spray it on after I am done with my face but before I put on mascara
2. The Bobbi Brown Brow Kit and Gel – I was never focused on my brows until I went to Bobbi Brown Brown makeup school. Gerard (BB Regional Educational Executive) tried the powder and gel and I was instantly amazed. There is something about a strong brow that completes a perfect makeup look. The kit sells out often and I was on a waiting list for two weeks before I could get mine. It has been the best addition to my makeup bag
3. The Bobbi Brown Ultra Nude Eye Palette – Bobbi Brown makeup is fuss free, so you can use few makeup tricks to turn your day makeup to night. I love the nude eye palette is it caters both to day and evening (evening shades had a little shimmer) shades and the palette is suitable for all skin tones
